PARTNERS

The California Native Vote Project united 20 Native youth from Del Norte, Sacramento and Los Angeles to focus on their experiences in education and strategize on power building for our communities. Youth met with State Assembly Member Todd Gloria and used RACE COUNTS in fact sheets to support their shared experiences within education to advocate for increased Title VI funding and learn how to effectively push for federally mandated Tribal Consultations with their local school districts. CNVP also engaged the group in relationship building activities at The California Endowment and youth shared songs and stories from their respective tribes.
